Chantel Coward graduated with her doctorate degree in 2006. Over the course of her career, she has had the invaluable opportunity of working for and providing various services to numerous reputable organizations including the Ontario Provincial Police Association (OPPA), Lakehead University (Orillia Campus), University Partnership Centre (Georgian College), Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care (formerly MHCP), Queen’s University, Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health.
Chantel began as a sole practitioner in 2008, providing therapy to children, adults, couples, and families. However quite quickly it became evident that there was great need in the community so in 2010 Chantel brought her first associate on board.

Aimee greets all of our clients as they arrive to the office with a warm smile. She is instrumental in our success. When human beings experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. Trish has a great passion in bringing healing to people who have been through a traumatic/stressful experience. Suzanne Carlaw is a Certified Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) Facilitator and a Life Stress Reduction (LSR) Facilitator.
TIR/LSR is a client-centred, non-judgmental therapeutic approach with structured techniques to guide a client in safely addressing:
• persistent emotional or behavioural after-effects of any shocking or traumatic event such as grief and loss, accidents, injuries, illness
• life stress issues such as challenging relationships, struggle with self-esteem, or negative emotions.
Results for clients range from relief of burdening emotions to achievement of strengthening insights and healing outcomes. Suzanne is also available to talk to groups about understanding the negative effects of trauma and stressful life issues, and why TIR/LSR is a safe, effective and empowering experience for clients.
Kim earned her Masters in Psychotherapy in 2014, left city life to relocate to the Simcoe Muskoka area, has written a self-help book (Living Lightly, Harper Collings) and launched an online mental wellness directory, The Child Therapy List. she has a strong desire to serve her local community by nurturing her individual practice. In late 2019 she became a member of CRPO.
Kim offers a depth of professional experience from a twenty-five year career in the technology sector; services and communication excellence, fluency in the online world and a positive and engaged team attitude.
Laura obtained a Bahelor of Arts in scociology and a Bachelor of Social Work from McMaster University. She has also has a Developmental Service Worker diploma from Georgian College. Laura started her career in dual diagnosis, supporting individuals and famalies who were struggling with challenging behaviours or justice involvement. She has over 13 years experience working with individuals of all ages who have concerns with their mental health and/or addictions. Laura is passionate about helping her clients to meet their full potential by focusing on strenghths and skill building. Laura is trained in CBT, CBTp, DBT, and Shema Focused Therapy, and has training in the Gottam method-couples therapy.
In 1994 Ryan obtained his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a minor in counseling from the University of Arizona. While there he published research on Fuzzy Trace Theory and children’s memory development with his mentor Dr. Charles Brainerd. He has assessed over 2000 individuals (preschool age through adults) since that time both privately and with various agencies, school districts, and post-secondary institutions.
Ryan’s passion is in working with individuals and students to successfully ascertain what their cognitive strengths and weaknesses are as well as their emotional needs. He has experience in evaluating for behavioural problems, learning disabilities, ADHD, as well as various autism spectrum or emotional disorders.
Although most of Ryan’s past experience was as a K-12 salaried school psychologist, he also headed the Quality Assurance Program at the Northern Ontario Assessment and Resource Centre. He continues to teach at Laurentian University part-time as a professor of Fundamentals of Psychometrics and Psychology of Education.
Lise is a Registered Early Childhood Educator and has been working in the field for over 20 years. She has conducted parent workshops such as 1234 Parents! and Nobody's Perfect as well facilitated various programs such as School's Cool and early learning preschool programs. As a Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) provider, Lise enjoys supporting families in the community. She has a great passion for children and believes that every child matters. Providing opportunities for them to grow into confident, capable and resilient individuals is something that is near and dear to her heart. In the last few years, Lise has had the opportunity to provide psycho-educational assessments. It brings her pleasure to be able to further support families and provide tools for success.
Lise chaired and co-chaired our Neighborhood Community Team committee in Sudbury for 2 years and is currently enrolled in Stuart Shanker's Self-Reg course through the MEHRIT Centre.
Stephanie Hill is a Registered Dietitian providing Nutrient Services such as individual counselling, weight management, meal plans and nutrient analysis.
Angela is a caregiver who provides assistance with daily personal care needs. She recently graduated from Georgian College as top student and winner of The Leadership Award after many years as an entrepreneur in a high paced retail sector. Angela honours her clients with Dignity, Independence, Privacy, Preferences, and Safety while incorporating Dimensions of Health; Physical, Social, Spiritual, Emotional and Intellectual. Angela is a member of OPSWA in good standing.
Mariah is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist with a Double Major in Psychology and Medical Science (University of Western Ontario) and a Master’s in Counselling Psychology (Yorkville University). Mariah has worked in community health for more than six years and is driven to help clients of all ages - including children, teens and adults- through a trauma-informed lens. Her training and experience in betrayal trauma theory is particularly useful with clients who have experienced a violation of trust in a personal or professional relationship.
Mariah uses an integrative, client-centered approach that reflects her clients’ unique needs and goals. Her work is characterized by her capacity for empathy, and her warm, non-judgmental manner that provides her clients a safe space to explore and unravel their experiences, while also expanding their coping skills toolbox. Mariah strives to help you gain new self-awareness and experience healing and transformation, allowing you to step forward into the life you truly desire.
Emily has completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and is currently a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Having previously completed her Bachelor of Health Science (honours) in Kinesiology and being a retired gymnast herself, Emily understands not only the importance of physical health but also the impacts that our mental health can have in many different aspects of our lives.
Together I can provide you a welcoming, safe, non-judgemental place to explore daily stressors and challenges in life. I believe through using an individualized approach that will best suit your unique needs, we can identify existing strengths and qualities that make you, you. We all have our own challenges, but we do not need to go through it alone.
Mary is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), a member of CCPA, and CRPO. She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, BA in Psychology from York University and a diploma in Behavioural Science from Seneca College.
Mary has experience working with various ages and in multiple settings, such as the foster care system, addiction centres, and the geriatric community, where she brought her behavioural lens to assist clients with neurocognitive degenerative disorders. She utilizes a person-centred approach integrating various modalities, including EMDR therapy, ACT, IFS, CBT and more to develop a tailored treatment for each client’s needs.
She understands the issues that can present when our mental health, past traumas and current struggles go unhealed. Mary believes that everyone has the power to become the vision of themselves they aspire to, healthy and happy into old age, and has made her goal in life to help others discover the power they hold and realize their greatness.
Jennifer is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) registrant of CRPO, and a supervised practicum student completing a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Jennifer views human experience through attachment and neurodevelopmentally sensitive lenses. She uses a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centred approach that integrates various intervention modalities in her work with clients.
Carolyn has 12 years of experience providing crisis counselling and ongoing counselling to diverse populations in the community and the justice sector. She practices from a nonjudgmental, trauma-informed lens. She offers integrative, generalist services, using skills and techniques from multiple models of therapy. She integrates an adult attachment lens into sessions when requested by her clients to explore how early childhood experiences with caregivers can influence their current daily lives.
Each session with Carolyn will be client-centred, with the client deciding what will be discussed. She is passionate about providing safety in the therapeutic relationship to grant the space for individuals to trust her with their emotions and experiences.
Juliana works with young adults and adults addressing a variety of mental health concerns such as signs of chronic stress and burnout, life transitions, workplace challenges, anxiety, depression, navigating relationship challenges, grief, trauma... among other themes. In the last couple of years she has developed an expertise in working the physical manifestation of psychological distress, such as chronic pain and other neurological symptoms, as well supporting clients recover from concussions.

Lexie is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Major in Psychology (University of Western Ontario) and a Master’s in Counselling Psychology (Yorkville University). She offers compassionate open-minded support to individuals aged 6-30 dealing with but not limited to, anxiety, depression, bullying, anger, trauma, self-harm, attachment issues, self-esteem concerns and the complexities of ADHD.
